Ian Woods

Editor and publisher of Global Outlook magazine (globaloutlook.ca).

9/11 Sceptic since?

“I first became suspicious of the official story released by the Bush administration as soon as the White House and FBI fingered Osama bin Laden and the 19 so-called hijackers as being the culprits. I asked myself, ‘How could a rag tag bunch of goat herders pull off a stunt like that?’”

Why?

“To be able to circumvent the 30-billion dollar per year US intelligence apparatus, hijack four planes all at once and then fly them with military precision into the Twin Towers and the most heavily guarded building in the world (the Pentagon) was stretching the story way beyond belief. Being mechanically minded, I realized that the Twin Towers had to have been brought down by explosives. I knew it was impossible for Osama bin Laden and his buddies to have accomplished such a feat. Wiring both 110-storey towers while avoiding all security personnel, and then pulling the towers down precisely into their own footprints was, to me, absolutely impossible . . . unless, of course, they had some help from the inside.”

“The most important pieces of evidence which led to my increasing suspicion of the official story were: the free-fall speed of the towers collapsing and the lack of jet interceptor response (for over an hour and 45 minutes!). The President’s lack of response in the classroom, just sitting there for 7 to 8 minutes in the classroom with all those innocent children, while he knew America was under attack and that he was a prime target, and later, when I found out that Building 7 had collapsed without a plane hitting it, at near freefall speed. After that, a mountain of other pieces of contradictory evidence appeared pointing to a genuine government black op which the mainstream media seemed intent on covering up.”

Contribution

“I have a degree in landscape architecture from the University of Toronto, and I know about structures and the physical laws of momentum, resistance and common-sense building at tributes.”

“I was also the publisher of a magazine called Monetary Reform bent on exposing the corrupt debt-based money system which was wreaking havoc throughout the world then, and especially as we are now witnessing. So I was in an ideal position to publish alternative views as to what really happened on 9/11, based on a growing mountain of evidence, which was clearly not being investigated by the corporate mainstream media. Due to the urgency and magnitude of the crisis, I decided to focus exclusively on 9/11 and began a new magazine called Global Outlook.”

“I once read that Gandhi felt his role in the Free India Movement was to unify the different communities who were seeking freedom and he did so using a newspaper. That was one of the reasons I was inspired to start Global Outlook, that is, to unite the non-believers of the official story and, at the same time, liberate the truth from being smothered by the cover-up of the mainstream media and our governments.”

Why should we care?

“Canada has a reputation and a responsibility for being a peacekeeper and our role as an intermediary between warring nations is well established. Unfortunately, in the current political climate, the Canadian government has seen fit to follow in the footsteps of the United States in their holy ‘war on terror.’ Canada is also strategically located right next to the United States and, therefore, has a unique relationship with ‘the elephant next door.’ Our role, it seems to me, is to convince as many Americans as possible to re-examine the official story of 9/11 and demand a new investigation. Our proximity to the US makes us a key player.”
